I’m Paige Oldham. I created Simple Mindfulness to support you in new, mindful ways of being that will allow you to live a happier and more fulfilled life.
What does that really mean?
- It means almost effortless relationships where you love to be with each other and have positive and productive ways of ironing out your differences instead of repeating the same old negative patterns.
- It means loving your body because you’re eating healthy foods and exercising in a way that supports your natural talents and abilities instead of struggling with weight and health issues with yo-yo diets and unsustainable health programs.
- It means feeling good about being in the process of creating a more abundant financial picture for yourself instead of beating yourself up for not sticking with your budget and creating more debt.
We’re all looking for more happiness in our lives.
Unfortunately, many of us succumb to the messages of media and our society that tell us that something outside of ourselves will make us happier. We start telling ourselves, “I’ll be happy when… I get a promotion, make a certain amount of money, have the perfect relationship, lose a certain amount of weight, I’m finally my own boss, etc.”
The truth is, happiness comes from within. I know it sounds cliché but I’ve spent the last 20 years of my life discovering that it’s true. I want to teach you all I’ve learned to speed up your learning process so you can be happier now.
From Resistance & Unhappiness To Acceptance & Happiness
Instead of complaining about all the negatives and wishing they were different (forms of resisting the current condition), if we fully accept the way things are and are happy no matter what, all those negative things start to change and morph into what we really want. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but it’s true.
I’ve wasted too many years of my life and tons of energy resisting my condition and trying to control things I can’t control. Whenever I did this, the conditions got worse and I was more unhappy. The more I blamed my unhappiness on other people and external conditions, the worse I felt.
Once I started noticing – being mindful – of my thoughts and actions and how they affected my world, I realized how I was creating my own unhappiness. It wasn’t anyone’s fault but my own. I was free to create my own reality.
The more I accepted and embraced things and people just the way they are, the more quickly they changed into what I had been dreaming about.
The more I took personal responsibility for my own life and happiness, the lighter I felt and the happier I became.
And when I started taking baby steps toward the life I wanted, my dreams came true.
Is It Time For a Change?
If you want to change all the negative circumstances in your life, YOU need to change first.
My goal here at Simple Mindfulness is to guide you along the path that I’ve taken and hopefully save you some of your precious time and life energy on your quest to being truly happy. I hope that by being very transparent with my life and my many mistakes (i.e. learning experiences), I can support you on your journey to higher levels of happiness and fulfillment in your life.
Learn from my mistakes. You can learn more about me here.
I would love to hear from you. If I haven’t addressed them in a post already, let me know what issues you’re facing. My passion is supporting you in living your happiest life.

Create the life you want: Combine the law of attraction with mindfulness
The law of attraction suggests that our positive or negative thoughts bring about positive or negative experiences. My latest book, The Mindful Guide to Law of Attraction, pairs that belief with the powerful practices of mindfulness. Through intentional breathing, writing, and engaging, you’ll hone a method for manifesting health, wealth, and love―the elements of happiness.
Let the law of attraction work for you by adopting its basic steps of identifying and visualizing the things you desire. Then use 45 practical meditation techniques included in the book to achieve awareness. By concentrating your positive energy on obtaining your wants, you’ll give yourself permission to receive them.
To your happiness! ~Paige
